Sensationelle Aktion im Rahmen der 50. Barcolana. Am Freitag for dem großen Event findet eine "Fine Art Regatta" der Starboot Klasse statt, bei der die Segler mit einzigartigen Großsegeln als zeitgenössische Kunstwerde an den Start gehen. Einfach genial.

These are the ingredients of Fine Art Sails, an international project that combines sailing, art, and charity and celebrates the First keel boat, the Queen of dinghies: the Star. After last year’s trial edition, the Star is officially back in Trieste for an event combining sailing and art aimed at raising money for the Andrew Simpson Charity, in memory of the America’s Cup skipper. There will be live coverage of the event. On Friday 12th October, the Star Class Adriatic fleet will remind us of the historical role of this boat in the world of sailing recalling the names of legendary skippers, and it will sail with sails painted by great contemporary young artists on three windward-leeward races. The races can be watched from ashore, for an unforgettable spectacle.
The regattas have been organized in collaboration with Società Triestina della Vela and Yacht Club Adriaco.
